Somewhere between the finish line, Zion National park, a few airports and the Packers game I contracted COVID. Even though I’ve been vaccinated, I still tested positive this week. I’m fortunate to only have minor cold symptoms and have been feeling better each day. No one else I’ve stayed with or contacted has any symptoms or positive tests.

When I crossed this finish line last Saturday, I didn’t know what emotion to feel. To be honest, I’m still having a hard time reflecting back on the race. Am I happy, yes? Am I disappointed, also yes.

They said there was ice cream at the finish line…

Back home to reality tomorrow at 6am ✈️…..but first the important stuff

More to come later but thrilled to take 3rd overall amateur in the world today! Had a crap swim, but went full hippo mode on the bike and hung on for the run!

Nothing left to do but race. Start time tomorrow is 6:57am CST. I’m excited to test myself against some of the best age group athletes in the world.
